‘Danke’ means THANK YOU in German!
Thank you all… for excusing my absence. What? You didn’t even notice I was gone?? 😉
I was on the other side of the world 🙂
For the past 10 days, Hubs and I were prost-ing at the 200th anniversary of Oktoberfest with our new German friends:
flying high in swings above Munich:
exploring castles:
investigating the salt mines in Salzburg:
& tasting the local eats!
I won’t lie, it’s not the healthiest I’ve ever been…
but what an adventure!
We just got home last night, and I am still trying my best to adjust to the time difference and kick this sickness I picked up at the end of the trip.
…but tomorrow and maybe the day after, I’m going to go into detail about the food and drinks (and by drinks I mean beer… LOTS of beer!) we experienced over there. It was my first trip to Europe, and WOW, were things different than I expected 🙂
Where is your favorite place you’ve ever traveled to?
Melissa says
Wow, what an amazing week! I had a feeling u went out of town, but would never have guessed all the way to Europe. So nice that you can travel like you do! I’ve only been out of the country once on my honeymoon cruise to Mexico, but definitely hope to make it to Europe at some point in my lifetime. Can’t wait to hear more!
Holly @ couchpotatoathlete says
Brittany that is so cool! I went to Germany a few years ago for school and I loved it — how fun to be there during Oktoberfest!
I’m glad you’re back 🙂
Rachel says
Yay, you’re back! Missed you 🙂 I’m glad you had a good time, can’t wait to hear all about it!

That looks like a great trip!
I’ve never been to Europe, but I want to so bad. I wish traveling wasn’t so expensive!
I went to Japan in 2008, which is the only time I’e ever been out of the country. That was pretty amazing. My childhood friend moved to Tokyo, so I went out to visit her for 10 days and we did lots of fun stuff. Temple/Shrine viewing, rode the Shikansen (bullet train), went to a real Japanese rock show….ate LOTS of food! Good times!

Awesome. Looks like you had a great time. I’ve been to Kiel Germany, but hmm fav place ive ever traveled too. Thats really tough lol. If I were to narrow it down I would say either France (Paris), Ireland (Dubland), or Scotland (Glasgow). They’re all favorites for different reasons.
