They keep their eggs on a shelf, not the fridge.
So many more people use public transportation & bikes than cars.
They are SO dog friendly. Dogs are on the trains and in restaurants. They don’t have to be on leash. They have dog parks that don’t have fences. And they have a lot of VIZSLAS!
Their housing seems reasonable.
They still find a way to surf.
They love dehydrated fruit.
They drink many, many cappuccinos… a habit I wouldn’t mind adopting 🙂
& they sure know how to shop!
If you haven’t noticed, this week is dedicated to the trip to Europe 🙂 …especially because I’m still trying to get over this awful sinus infection and all I’ve been eating is vegetable soup and bread! Tomorrow I’ll be getting to Austria… happy hump day!

When I went to German 5 years ago I remember only finding shelf stable milk — that was so strange to me. And I’ve never eaten more bread in my life – I loved it. My pants did not.

Those eggs not being refrigerated makes me uneasy. And the last pic at the shoe store is too cute!
Samantha @ Health, Happiness & Skinny Jeans says
I am down for any place that is that dog friendly! I spend more time at the dog park then I can even keep track of and I love it!

I am SO jealous! I want to visit Europe so badly. Greece, Spain, and Italy are my “big 3” to visit…oh and Ireland…but I’m starting to think Germany and Austria might be just as wonderful 🙂

Great post. I love Europe..I would move there in a heartbeat if it weren’t so far from my family. 🙂
Lisa @ I'm an Okie says
Crazy! Where all did you visit in europe again? ive been to italy, but thats it!

So fun! The eggs don’t worry me one bit. We only have to keep them refrigerated because by the time the consumer gets them, they’ve been out of the chicken for a few months! Perhaps Europe has fresher eggs!

I haven’t commented yet but I just wanted to tell you that I’m loving your recap. Oh, and now I have “Do Oktoberfest in Germany” on my bucket list!
Maria @ Oh Healthy Day says
Oh I can’t believe they are surfing in the river!
You make me want to go there 🙂

I love “the housing is reasonable.” I’m scared of the dogs roaming around. Not that I don’t think it’s great, but I would worry so much about Molly having so much hunting space and so much prey 🙂

My friend just got back from Germany and she loved how dog friendly they are!

LOVE seeing pics! That is so strange about the eggs. Is it bc they get them fresh every day?
homecookedem says
I want to go to Europe!!!!!!!!!!! I’m very curious about the eggs on the shelf thing… do they not go bad?? That last picture of you is SUPER cute!! 🙂
Feel better soon!!
maya @ finding balance in tokyo says
I love the egg picture! The reason that they can do that is because the eggs are unwashed. Fresh eggs are protected by a special film that prevents them from going bad for weeks after they are laid. Commercial eggs in countries like the US, etc. are washed, which removes the protective coating and shortens their lifespan. That’s why they need to be kept refridgerated.
